Perch is one of the great rooftop restaurants in Downtown LA, especially if you’re looking for great views. My friend was visiting from the East Coast, so I took her here and she absolutely loved it! We got the salmon and shrimp Gnocchi with shrimp, and both were delicious. The food was definitely a highlight. For drinks, you can head up to the rooftop and enjoy the views. The restaurant and rooftop are on different floors, but the overall experience is great, especially for the atmosphere and views of Downtown LA.

Finally decided to try this restaurant as a walk-in during brunch on a Saturday. Plenty of seating available and could see that reservations may be required at certain times. Bacon Cheddar Burger: slightly below average burger solely based off the price ($25) compared to the flavor. The bun was very good and the patty was cooked as requested (medium well), with no pink internal ground beef (personal preference). It comes with fries, but I upgraded ($4) to the Truffle Cheese Frites. Truffle Cheese Frites: the flavor was excellent and, coming as a side for the burger, the portion was quite large. Of course, the frites were not crunchy with the topping added to it, but if one likes cheese fries, chili cheese fries, etc., the sogginess of these frites shouldn’t deter ordering them. The addition of pecorino added a necessary tanginess to them. Alcohol: Strawberry Frose, decent size drink, frozen. Decent flavor and not too strong, but I felt it. Service was average. Being on the 15th floor outdoors in downtown LA was pretty cool, good views and well covered. One could choose full sun or shaded with awnings. You have to take a couple elevators to get there, the first one taking you to the 13th (?) floor followed by another to the 15th. There are attendants there that provide directions if one gets confused easily. I do recommend the restaurant with the caveat that I feel it is somewhat overpriced. Will I return? 50/50 chance. There are other really good restaurants in the area. Bottega Louie being one that I would recommend over Perch. But I wouldn’t dissuade anyone from trying this out.

I've been coming here for years. Ever since they started and the chef wouldn't allow anything to come out that wasn't personally approve. If anything, the quality has only gotten better. It's still first come first serve. Including wine, they now have a full bar and also an acceptable corkage fee for the byo'ers out there. If it's good enough for my fiance to give the date night an 11 out of 10, then that's a huge win. For us, them, you, everyone! Thanks again for the lovely evening!

Gorgeous restaurant in downtown LA! We read that they didn’t take bookings so we arrived for 5.30pm and were able to walk straight in to sit outside. The outdoor area was beautiful and all feels very authentic. Service was great and really fast. The food taste amazing, I would definitely recommend and if we ever come back to LA I will deffo return.

Apparently, dining alone in America is considered strange, and I was a little nervous about being seen as a nuisance as a Japanese person who doesn't speak English. When I arrived in front of the restaurant, I saw a stream of brightly dressed locals entering. I thought I'd chosen the wrong place, but it was too late since I'd already made a reservation. I hastily put on the long-sleeved shirt I'd been carrying for sun protection and went inside. The staff were surprisingly friendly. My nervousness quickly disappeared, and I was able to relax and enjoy my meal. I gave the maximum tip to show my gratitude for their hospitality. Of course, all the food was delicious; as expected from the land of BBQ, the pork chops were exceptional. Later, a Japanese tourist in shorts and sandals came in, and they clearly stood out, so I think it's best to avoid overly casual attire.

We shared the cinnamon roll (that glaze was perfectly applied and had a lovely light flavor vs other glazes I feel like I'm going to get diabetes) Duck chilaquiles (perfect) Basque Baked Eggs (enough to share, comfort food yummies) Lychee cocktail (refreshing) The Manager was nice, and clearly cares about his patrons. When we asked about a kids menu, he enthusiastically said they can adapt most items. Parking. Valet is offered. Or you can street park (2 hour meter) or pay $8 at the lot just around the corner. DECEMBER 2025 Had lunch here for a private event. Valet, $15, with ultra convenient right in front of the entryway The atmosphere is inviting, yet sophisticated. The building is a very much old Los Angeles building, so spaces are tight and there's a lot of stairs. However there is an elevator for those who are unable to climb up stairs. On to the food. Our set menu consisted of Beet salad Hamachi crudo Roasted chicken King Salmon Penne rigatoni Assorted cookies Both the chicken and salmon were top-notch. The chicken was moist and the vegetables were roasted perfectly. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Which is a rare treat. Amazingly, the beets were fresh vs from a can (which is what I usually run into for beet salads) The quality of the ingredients was good. And you can tell. I am DEFINITELY returning for a meal.

Disappointing experience. The "crispy" calamari was drenched in oil and tasted like it came from overused cooking oil—inedible. The bartender was unaware of the wine list and denied having a wine that was clearly listed. These issues matter at an upscale restaurant, and I won’t be returning.

Very tasty Italian food in an outdoor setting that could make one think one's in Europe. Both the risotto and the spaghetti in lobster sauce were excellent and reasonably priced. And the service from Tomaurea was charming, fun and deft.

Mixed experience, mostly because of the host. We entered through the back patio, where a food runner greeted us warmly and led us to a counter table near the bar. Shortly after, a host named Michael came over abruptly and told us we couldn't sit there, directing us to the host stand instead. Once there, he made the four of us move from the side of the podium around to the front of it, like he was herding cattle. Then, as if we had just walked in, he asked what we wanted. He told us we'd have to wait 5 minutes — despite there being no other guests waiting and plenty of open tables in the restaurant. The tone was condescending, more like being scolded than helped. After about 5 minutes, another employee came out and sat us at the exact same table we'd originally been led to. Having someone like Michael in a client-facing role is a real liability. My guests, visiting from Japan, were visibly rattled by the encounter, and I was embarrassed. If it hadn't been getting late, we would have just left. On the positive side, our server Dominique was lovely, as was the food runner who first sat us. Food was decent — the calamari, wine, and beers were enjoyable, though the Vongole was overly salty. Won't be rushing back.

Mrs. Fish is such a beautiful and unique dining experience in Downtown LA. The atmosphere is stylish, vibrant, and perfect for a date night or a special evening out. The live music makes the whole experience feel even more intimate and memorable, and the interior is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything we tried felt high quality, from the seafood to the cocktails, and the service made the night even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for amazing food, great music, and a gorgeous atmosphere in LA.
